Pac-Man and Pac-Man by JamesmanTheRegenold Pac-Man and Pac-Man by JamesmanTheRegenold
A random sketch from my sketchbook that evolved into a nice little doodle. :3

Pac-Man, good god what can I say about him that I haven't said before? xP

Well, I'm sure a lot of people still prefer the Older, Boot-Wearin', Fingerless Pac-Man over the Newer, Fingered, and Sneaker-Wearin' Pac-Man with Blue Eyes (which thankfully are still shaped like Pac-Man himself).

For me though . . . . I can honestly say I'm starting to lean more to the New Pac-Man's design, even though I love the old design to death. I think it's mainly because, unlike Sonic, the New Pac-Man still looks very faithful to the old one, despite the few changes.

Not much else to say but, enjoy. :)

Personally, I like both designs.  The classic design of Pac-Man will always be memorable and nostalgic and my favorite.  The new design has it's own take on Pac-Man but it still resembles to the old, classic design.  :)

that's really more or less how I see it too. I mean sure the new Pac-Man is a bit odd to look at initially, but really he wasn't really changed that drastically compared to other characters like Sonic. I mean I know several will argue he's treated more like a kid here but, honestly it's not like the Classic Pac-Man couldn't be treated like that either (provided they don't use those American-Made characters like Ms. Pac-Man).

I like the new design, but the old Pac-Man World has a very, very big place in my heart.
It's also nice to see that someone gives Pac-Man some love.

*Classic Pac-Man

sorry but I get real antsy when people refer to the Classic Pac-Man design as the "Pac-Man World" Design. xD;;

I understand. It's just that Pac-Man World is really important to me.
However, I associate this design with that game. Did it appear somewhere else before it? I'm not counting the art in the arcade machine or the Hanna-Barbera cartoon/Pac-Land, since it had its differences.

well for nostalgia's sake I can completely understand that.

and personally I do count artwork from previous games because, when you get right down to it, arcade machines back then weren't powerful enough to convey such a full-image (the Japanese version of Pac-Land was damn close though). So the design's been there since forever, but you are right that it wasn't until Pac-Man World where his whole image was replicated in it's entirety for a playable Pac-Man.

I just fucking hate it when people think that "Pizza Pac-Man" is the one true original Pac-Man, cuz that's not entirely true. There's a huge difference between in-game graphics and concepts made during the development of said game.

I understand. I didn't explain myself well enough: I count artwork too, but IMO the artwork in the arcade was very different from this design (the face was too small in relation to the body).
The only design I really hate is that weird picture of a round, amorphous Pac-Man with no arms and red eyes which supposedly represented the Pizza Pac-Man and appeared in some editions of the machine.

idk that I think is being a bit too nitpicky. I mean the idea behind the design was there, it's just that it'd end up looking more refined as years passed.

and yeah that version of Pac-Man is kinda fugly xD
